National Inclusion Project
The National Inclusion Project is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting inclusion for children with disabilities in recreational activities. Founded in 2005 by Chris Nikic and Cathy McGowan, the project aims to create opportunities for all children to participate in community programs, ensuring they have access to the same experiences as their peers.
Through various initiatives, the National Inclusion Project provides resources, training, and support to organizations and communities. Their programs focus on fostering inclusive environments in settings such as summer camps, after-school programs, and sports leagues, helping to break down barriers and promote understanding among children of all abilities.
