National Accord Government
The National Accord Government refers to a political arrangement in Libya established in 2015 to unify the country's divided factions. It was formed under the auspices of the United Nations to address the ongoing conflict and instability following the 2011 uprising that ousted Muammar Gaddafi. The government aimed to create a framework for peace and governance, bringing together various political groups and militias.
This government is also known as the Government of National Accord (GNA) and is based in Tripoli. It was recognized by the international community as the legitimate authority in Libya, although it faced challenges from rival factions and ongoing violence. The GNA's primary goal was to restore order and facilitate national reconciliation.
