Nasal (Nose)
The nasal area, commonly referred to as the nose, is a prominent feature on the face that plays a crucial role in the respiratory system. It is responsible for filtering, warming, and humidifying the air we breathe. The nose also contains olfactory receptors, which are essential for the sense of smell.
Anatomically, the nose consists of external structures, including the bridge, tip, and nostrils, as well as internal passages known as nasal cavities. These cavities are lined with mucous membranes that help trap dust and pathogens, contributing to overall respiratory health.
