Nargis Dutt
Nargis Dutt was a prominent Indian actress and producer, known for her significant contributions to Hindi cinema during the 1940s and 1950s. Born on June 1, 1929, she gained fame for her roles in classic films such as Mother India and Raat Aur Din. Nargis was celebrated for her powerful performances and was one of the first actresses to receive critical acclaim in Indian films.
In addition to her acting career, Nargis was also involved in social work and co-founded the Nargis Dutt Foundation to support cancer patients. She was married to actor Sunil Dutt, and together they had three children, including actress Priya Dutt. Nargis passed away on May 3, 1981, leaving a lasting legacy in Indian cinema.
