Nanette Barragán is an American politician and member of the Democratic Party. She has served as the U.S. Representative for California's 44th congressional district since 2016. Barragán is known for her advocacy on issues such as environmental justice, healthcare, and immigration reform. Before her election to Congress, Barragán was a member of the California State Assembly and worked as a civil rights attorney. She is the first Latina to represent her district and has been involved in various community initiatives aimed at improving the lives of her constituents.
