Namtso Lake
Namtso Lake is one of the largest saltwater lakes in Tibet, located at an elevation of about 4,718 meters (15,479 feet). It covers an area of approximately 1,920 square kilometers (740 square miles) and is known for its stunning turquoise waters surrounded by snow-capped mountains. The lake is a significant site for Tibetan Buddhism, attracting pilgrims and tourists alike.
