Namdhari Sikh
The Namdhari Sikhs are a sect within the broader Sikh community, known for their distinct beliefs and practices. Founded in the 19th century by Baba Ram Singh, they emphasize a strict adherence to the teachings of the Guru Granth Sahib and advocate for a simple, disciplined lifestyle. Namdhari Sikhs do not believe in the concept of a living Guru, instead considering the Guru Granth Sahib as their eternal Guru.
Namdhari Sikhs are recognized for their unique attire, which includes white clothing and a specific style of turban. They also practice a form of devotional singing called Shabad Kirtan and engage in community service. The sect promotes social reform and education, aiming to uplift society while maintaining a strong connection to their spiritual roots.
