Nam Ngum Dam
The Nam Ngum Dam is a large hydroelectric dam located in Laos, on the Nam Ngum River. Completed in 1971, it is the first major dam in the country and plays a crucial role in generating electricity. The dam has a reservoir that covers an area of approximately 100 square kilometers, providing water for irrigation and supporting local agriculture.
