Nakajima Aircraft Company
The Nakajima Aircraft Company was a prominent Japanese aircraft manufacturer founded in 1917. Initially focused on producing engines, the company expanded into designing and building various military aircraft during World War II. Notable models included the Nakajima Ki-43 Hayabusa and the Nakajima B5N, which played significant roles in the conflict.
After the war, the company shifted its focus to civilian aviation and other industries. In 1953, it merged with Fuji Heavy Industries, which later became known for producing Subaru vehicles. Today, the legacy of Nakajima's engineering continues to influence the aerospace sector in Japan.
