Naguib Mahfouz Medal for Literature
The Naguib Mahfouz Medal for Literature is an annual award established in 1996 to honor outstanding Arabic literature. Named after the Egyptian author Naguib Mahfouz, who won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1988, the medal recognizes a distinguished work of fiction published in Arabic.
