Naga Sadhus
Naga Sadhus are a group of ascetic Hindu monks known for their extreme renunciation and dedication to spiritual practices. They often live in isolation, focusing on meditation and the pursuit of enlightenment. Recognizable by their distinctive appearance, they typically wear minimal clothing, often just a loincloth, and adorn themselves with ash from sacred fires.
These ascetics are particularly associated with the Kumbh Mela, a major Hindu pilgrimage that occurs every twelve years. During this festival, Naga Sadhus participate in ritual bathing and processions, showcasing their commitment to their spiritual path and attracting attention for their unique lifestyle and beliefs.
