Nachman of Breslov
Nachman of Breslov was a prominent Jewish mystic and the founder of the Breslov Hasidic movement. Born in 1772 in what is now Ukraine, he was a great-grandson of Baal Shem Tov, the founder of Hasidism. Nachman emphasized the importance of personal prayer, joy, and faith in God, and he taught that every individual has a unique path to spiritual fulfillment.
He is best known for his stories, which convey deep spiritual lessons and moral teachings. Nachman passed away in 1810, but his teachings continue to inspire many followers and are studied widely within the Hasidic community and beyond.
