NGSS
The Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) are a set of educational guidelines designed to improve science education in the United States. They focus on developing students' critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills through hands-on learning and real-world applications. The standards emphasize a deeper understanding of scientific concepts rather than rote memorization.
NGSS integrates three dimensions of learning: scientific and engineering practices, crosscutting concepts, and disciplinary core ideas. This framework encourages students to engage in scientific inquiry and engineering design, fostering a more interactive and meaningful learning experience. The goal is to prepare students for college, careers, and informed citizenship in a rapidly changing world.
