NGC_6875
NGC 6875 is a barred spiral galaxy located approximately 90 million light-years away in the constellation Pavo. It is part of a group of galaxies known as the Pavo Group and is notable for its distinct spiral arms and bright central bar structure.
Discovered by astronomer John Herschel in 1834, NGC 6875 has a visual magnitude of about 13.5, making it faintly visible through larger telescopes. The galaxy exhibits signs of active star formation, which contributes to its vibrant appearance and the presence of young, hot stars within its arms.
