NGC_2004
NGC_2004 is an open star cluster located in the Large Magellanic Cloud, a satellite galaxy of the Milky Way. It is situated approximately 163,000 light-years from Earth and is known for its bright, young stars, which are primarily of spectral type O and B. The cluster is estimated to be around 30 million years old.
Discovered by John Herschel in 1834, NGC 2004 contains several hundred stars and is notable for its striking appearance in astronomical images. The cluster is often studied to understand stellar formation and evolution, as well as the dynamics of star clusters in different environments.
