NGC_1857
NGC 1857 is an open star cluster located in the constellation of Cassiopeia. It was discovered by the astronomer William Herschel in 1787. This cluster is approximately 5,000 light-years away from Earth and contains several young stars that are still in the process of formation.
The cluster spans about 20 light-years across and is estimated to be around 100 million years old. NGC 1857 is part of a larger group of stars that share a common origin, making it an interesting subject for studying stellar evolution and the dynamics of star clusters in our galaxy, the Milky Way.
