NGC 6813
NGC 6813 is a barred spiral galaxy located approximately 60 million light-years away in the constellation Eridanus. It was discovered by the astronomer John Herschel in 1834. This galaxy is notable for its bright central bar structure and well-defined spiral arms, which are characteristic features of barred spiral galaxies.
The galaxy has an apparent magnitude of about 12.5, making it faintly visible through small telescopes. NGC 6813 is part of a larger group of galaxies and is often studied for its star formation activity and the dynamics of its stellar population.
