NGC 6672
NGC 6672 is a barred spiral galaxy located approximately 100 million light-years away in the constellation Aquarius. It was discovered by the astronomer Édouard Stephan in 1871. This galaxy is notable for its bright core and well-defined spiral arms, which are characteristic features of spiral galaxies.
The galaxy is part of a larger group of galaxies known as the Stephan's Quintet, which includes four other galaxies. NGC 6672 is also classified as a Seyfert galaxy, indicating that it has an active nucleus that emits significant radiation, particularly in the X-ray and infrared wavelengths.
