NGC 6304
NGC 6304 is a globular cluster located in the constellation Scorpius. It is approximately 25,000 light-years away from Earth and is part of our Milky Way galaxy. This cluster contains hundreds of thousands of stars, tightly packed together due to their mutual gravitational attraction.
Discovered by William Herschel in 1784, NGC 6304 is notable for its relatively high concentration of stars in its core. It has an apparent magnitude of about 8.5, making it faintly visible through small telescopes. The cluster is an excellent target for amateur astronomers interested in studying stellar populations.
