NGC 604
NGC 604 is a large and bright emission nebula located in the Triangulum Galaxy, approximately 2.7 million light-years away from Earth. It is one of the largest known star-forming regions in the local universe, spanning about 1,500 light-years across. The nebula is notable for its intense star formation activity, which is fueled by the surrounding gas and dust.
Within NGC 604, numerous young, massive stars have formed, emitting strong ultraviolet radiation that ionizes the surrounding hydrogen gas, causing it to glow. This region is a prime example of how new stars are born and evolve, providing valuable insights into the processes of stellar formation and the dynamics of galaxies.
