NGC 4409
NGC 4409 is a barred spiral galaxy located approximately 60 million light-years away in the constellation Virgo. It was discovered by the astronomer William Herschel in 1784. This galaxy is notable for its distinct bar structure, which is a common feature in many spiral galaxies.
The galaxy has an apparent magnitude of about 13.5, making it faint and challenging to observe without a telescope. NGC 4409 is part of a larger group of galaxies known as the Virgo Cluster, which contains thousands of galaxies and is one of the closest galaxy clusters to Earth.
