NGC 3389
NGC 3389 is a barred spiral galaxy located approximately 50 million light-years away in the constellation Leo. It was discovered by the astronomer William Herschel in 1784 and is part of the Virgo Supercluster.
This galaxy has a diameter of about 60,000 light-years and features a prominent central bar structure. NGC 3389 is notable for its bright core and well-defined spiral arms, which contain regions of active star formation. Observations of this galaxy contribute to our understanding of galaxy formation and evolution in the universe.
