NGC 2418
NGC 2418 is an open star cluster located in the constellation of Gemini. It was discovered by the astronomer William Herschel in 1786. This cluster is approximately 2,000 light-years away from Earth and contains several hundred stars, many of which are young and bright.
The cluster is notable for its relatively high concentration of stars in a small area, making it an interesting target for astronomers. NGC 2418 is also part of a larger group of clusters in the region, contributing to our understanding of star formation and the evolution of stellar systems.
