NGC 2415
NGC 2415 is a bright open star cluster located in the constellation of Lynx. It was discovered by the astronomer William Herschel in 1788. This cluster is approximately 3,000 light-years away from Earth and contains several hundred stars, many of which are young and hot.
The cluster spans about 20 light-years across and is estimated to be around 100 million years old. NGC 2415 is notable for its relatively high concentration of stars, making it an interesting target for both amateur and professional astronomers studying stellar formation and evolution.
