NGC 2160
NGC 2160 is an open star cluster located in the constellation Monoceros, which is also known as the Unicorn. It was discovered by the astronomer John Herschel in 1834. This cluster is approximately 4,000 light-years away from Earth and contains several young stars that are still in the process of forming.
The cluster is notable for its relatively loose structure and is estimated to be around 100 million years old. NGC 2160 is often studied to understand the formation and evolution of star clusters, as well as the dynamics of stellar populations within them.
