NGC 2135
NGC 2135 is a bright open cluster located in the constellation of Monoceros. It was discovered by the astronomer John Herschel in 1834. This cluster is approximately 2,500 light-years away from Earth and contains several young stars that are still in the process of formation.
The cluster is notable for its relatively high concentration of stars, which are loosely bound by gravity. NGC 2135 is often studied to understand stellar evolution and the dynamics of star clusters. Its position in the sky makes it a popular target for amateur astronomers using telescopes.
