NGC 2001
NGC 2001 is a barred spiral galaxy located in the constellation Lepus. It is approximately 60 million light-years away from Earth and is part of the Laniakea Supercluster.
Discovered by the astronomer John Herschel in 1834, NGC 2001 has a diameter of about 50,000 light-years. Its structure features a prominent central bar and spiral arms, making it an interesting subject for astronomers studying galaxy formation and evolution.
