NGC 1858
NGC 1858 is a bright open cluster located in the constellation of Tucana. It is situated approximately 160,000 light-years away from Earth and is part of the Large Magellanic Cloud, a satellite galaxy of the Milky Way. NGC 1858 contains several young stars and is estimated to be around 30 million years old.
The cluster is notable for its rich population of stars and its relatively high concentration of blue supergiants. Observations of NGC 1858 contribute to our understanding of stellar formation and evolution in different galactic environments, particularly in irregular galaxies like the Large Magellanic Cloud.
