NGC 1033
NGC 1033 is a barred spiral galaxy located approximately 50 million light-years away in the constellation Camelopardalis. It was discovered by the astronomer William Herschel in 1787 and is part of the Herschel 400 catalog, which includes a collection of notable deep-sky objects.
This galaxy has a diameter of about 100,000 light-years and features a prominent bar structure at its center. NGC 1033 is classified as a type SBbc galaxy, indicating its spiral arms are moderately wound and contain regions of active star formation.
