NGC 1014
NGC 1014 is a barred spiral galaxy located approximately 50 million light-years away in the constellation Eridanus. It was discovered by the astronomer John Herschel in 1834. This galaxy is notable for its bright core and well-defined spiral arms, which are characteristic features of barred spiral galaxies.
The galaxy has an apparent magnitude of about 12.5, making it faintly visible through small telescopes. NGC 1014 is part of a group of galaxies and is often studied to understand the formation and evolution of spiral structures in the universe.
