NASA's Hubble Space Telescope
The Hubble Space Telescope is a large telescope in space that has been observing the universe since its launch in 1990. It orbits Earth at an altitude of about 547 kilometers (340 miles) and captures high-resolution images of celestial objects. Hubble's observations have greatly advanced our understanding of galaxies, stars, and planets.
Equipped with powerful cameras and spectrographs, Hubble can see in ultraviolet, visible, and near-infrared light. This allows scientists to study phenomena such as the formation of stars and the expansion of the universe. Hubble's discoveries have made it one of the most important tools in modern astronomy.
