NASA's Dawn
NASA's Dawn mission was launched in 2007 to study two of the largest objects in the asteroid belt, Vesta and Ceres. The spacecraft was designed to gather data about these celestial bodies to help scientists understand the early solar system's formation and evolution.
Dawn was the first spacecraft to orbit two different extraterrestrial targets, providing valuable insights into their composition, geology, and history. It successfully orbited Vesta from 2011 to 2012 and then traveled to Ceres, where it operated until 2018, contributing significantly to our knowledge of these ancient bodies.
