Myoko-class Cruiser
The Myoko-class cruiser was a class of heavy cruisers built for the Imperial Japanese Navy during the 1930s. Named after the mountain Myoko in Japan, these ships were designed for speed and firepower, featuring a displacement of around 10,000 tons and armed with eight 203 mm guns. They played significant roles in various naval battles during World War II.
The class included four ships: Myoko, Nachi, Ashigara, and Takao. Each vessel was equipped with advanced radar and torpedoes, enhancing their combat capabilities. The Myoko-class cruisers were known for their versatility, serving in both offensive and defensive operations throughout the war.
