Musical.ly
Musical.ly was a social media platform launched in 2014 that allowed users to create, share, and discover short music videos. Users could lip-sync to popular songs, add special effects, and collaborate with others, making it a creative outlet for many young people. The app gained immense popularity, especially among teenagers, and became a hub for viral trends and challenges.
In 2018, Musical.ly was acquired by ByteDance and merged with another app called TikTok. This transition led to the discontinuation of the original Musical.ly app, but many of its features and user base were integrated into TikTok, which has since become one of the most popular social media platforms worldwide.
