Municipalities of Serbia
Municipalities of Serbia are the basic administrative units within the country, responsible for local governance. There are 145 municipalities in Serbia, which are further divided into urban and rural areas. Each municipality has its own local government, which manages public services, infrastructure, and community development.
The municipalities are grouped into districts, with Belgrade being the capital and the largest city. Each municipality operates under the laws of Serbia and is tasked with addressing the needs of its residents, including education, healthcare, and public safety.
