Multitap
Multitap is a method used in mobile devices, particularly older cell phones, to input text. Instead of a full keyboard, users press the number keys multiple times to select letters. For example, pressing the "2" key once types "A," twice types "B," and three times types "C." This system was common before the widespread adoption of touchscreens and full QWERTY keyboards.
The multitap method is often associated with the early days of texting and messaging, where users had to be patient and precise. While it has largely been replaced by more advanced input methods, such as T9 predictive text and QWERTY keyboards, it remains a notable part of mobile communication history.
