Muiderkring
The Muiderkring was a literary and intellectual society in the Netherlands during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Founded in 1880, it included prominent figures such as writer Louis Couperus and poet Albert Verwey. The group aimed to promote literature, art, and culture through discussions and gatherings.
Members of the Muiderkring often met at the Muider Castle, which served as a central location for their activities. The society played a significant role in the Dutch literary scene, fostering creativity and collaboration among its members, and influencing the development of modern Dutch literature.
