Mozambican War of Independence
The Mozambican War of Independence was a conflict that took place from 1964 to 1974, as the people of Mozambique fought against Portuguese colonial rule. The war was led by the Front for the Liberation of Mozambique (FRELIMO), which aimed to achieve independence and end colonial exploitation.
The struggle involved guerrilla warfare and significant support from neighboring countries and international allies. After years of fighting, the war concluded with the Lisbon Revolution in 1974, leading to the recognition of Mozambique as an independent nation on June 25, 1975.
