Mountain Ranges in Utah
Utah is home to several prominent mountain ranges, including the Wasatch Range, which runs north to south along the eastern edge of the state. This range features many popular ski resorts and hiking trails, making it a favorite destination for outdoor enthusiasts. The highest peak in the Wasatch is Kings Peak, standing at 13,534 feet.
Another significant range is the Uinta Mountains, located in northeastern Utah. Unlike the Wasatch, the Uintas run east to west and are known for their unique, rugged terrain. The range includes Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest, offering opportunities for camping, fishing, and wildlife viewing.
