Mount Haguro
Mount Haguro is one of the three sacred mountains in the Dewa Sanzan range, located in Yamagata Prefecture, Japan. Standing at 414 meters, it is known for its lush forests and serene atmosphere. The mountain is a popular destination for pilgrims and hikers, offering a unique blend of natural beauty and spiritual significance.
At the summit, visitors can find the historic Haguro-san Shrine, which dates back to the 8th century. The shrine is dedicated to the deity Haguro Gongen and features traditional architecture. The mountain is also famous for its ancient cedar trees, some of which are over a thousand years old.
