Motoo Abiko
Motoo Abiko is a Japanese manga artist best known for his work under the pen name Fujiko Fujio. He was born on December 1, 1934, in Osaka, Japan, and gained fame for co-creating the beloved character Doraemon, a robotic cat that travels back in time to help a young boy named Nobita Nobi.
Abiko collaborated with Hiroshi Fujimoto to form the duo Fujiko Fujio, producing numerous popular manga series. Their work has had a significant impact on Japanese pop culture, influencing generations of readers and inspiring various adaptations, including animated television shows and films. Abiko passed away on September 30, 2022.
