Moonwalk
The "Moonwalk" is a dance move that creates the illusion of gliding backward while walking forward. It became widely popular in the 1980s, especially after Michael Jackson performed it during his iconic performance of "Billie Jean" on television. The move involves shifting weight from one foot to the other while sliding the opposite foot back.
To execute the Moonwalk, a dancer starts by standing with one foot flat and the other foot slightly raised. By pushing off the raised foot and sliding the flat foot back, the dancer creates a smooth, flowing motion. This technique requires practice to master the timing and balance.
