Monts Chic-Chocs
The Monts Chic-Chocs are a mountain range located in the Gaspésie region of Quebec, Canada. They are part of the larger Appalachian Mountains and are known for their rugged terrain, steep slopes, and diverse ecosystems. The highest peak, Mont Jacques-Cartier, reaches an elevation of 1,268 meters (4,160 feet), making it the second-highest mountain in Quebec.
This area is popular for outdoor activities such as hiking, skiing, and wildlife observation. The Chic-Chocs are home to various species, including caribou and moose, and feature stunning landscapes with alpine meadows and dense forests. The region is also part of the Gaspésie National Park.
