Montreal Expos
The Montreal Expos were a professional baseball team based in Montreal, Canada. They were established in 1969 as a member of the National League and were the first Major League Baseball team located outside the United States. The Expos played their home games at Olympic Stadium and had a loyal fan base throughout their existence.
The team experienced varying levels of success, including a division title in 1981 and a strong run in the late 1990s. However, financial difficulties and declining attendance led to the franchise's relocation to Washington, D.C. in 2005, where they became the Washington Nationals.
