Mono Recording
Mono recording is a method of capturing sound using a single audio channel. This technique records all audio signals into one track, which can be played back through one speaker or multiple speakers, but the sound remains the same across all. Mono recordings are often used in situations where simplicity is key, such as in voice recordings or radio broadcasts.
In contrast to stereo recording, which uses two channels to create a sense of space and directionality, mono recording provides a more straightforward listening experience. It is commonly found in older music formats and is still used in various applications, including podcasts and audiobooks.
