Mongoloids
The term "Mongoloids" historically referred to a racial classification used to describe people of East Asian, Southeast Asian, and some Indigenous peoples of the Americas. This classification was based on physical characteristics such as skin color, hair type, and facial features. However, the use of this term is now considered outdated and potentially offensive in contemporary discussions of race and ethnicity.
Modern anthropology and genetics emphasize the complexity of human diversity, moving away from rigid racial categories. Instead, researchers focus on populations and cultural identities, recognizing that human variation cannot be accurately captured by simplistic classifications like Mongoloids. This shift reflects a broader understanding of human evolution and migration patterns.
