Mongolian gazelle
The Mongolian gazelle (Procapra gutturosa) is a medium-sized antelope native to the grasslands of Mongolia and northern China. Known for its slender body and long legs, it can reach a height of about 80 centimeters at the shoulder. These gazelles are well-adapted to their environment, with a diet primarily consisting of grasses and herbs.
Mongolian gazelles are social animals, often found in herds that can number in the thousands. They are known for their incredible speed, capable of running up to 60 kilometers per hour to escape predators. Their population is currently stable, but they face threats from habitat loss and hunting.
