Mollies
Mollies are a type of freshwater fish belonging to the family Poeciliidae. They are popular in home aquariums due to their vibrant colors and peaceful nature. Mollies are known for their adaptability to various water conditions and can thrive in both freshwater and brackish environments. They are livebearers, meaning they give birth to free-swimming young rather than laying eggs.
These fish come in several varieties, including the Black Molly, Sailfin Molly, and Dalmatian Molly. Mollies typically grow to about 3 to 4 inches in length and are omnivorous, feeding on algae, plant matter, and small invertebrates. Their social behavior makes them ideal for community tanks with other compatible species.
