Moldovan President
The Moldovan President is the head of state of Moldova, a country in Eastern Europe. The president is responsible for representing the nation, overseeing the executive branch, and ensuring the constitution is upheld. The position is elected by popular vote for a term of four years, with the possibility of re-election.
As of October 2023, the current president is Maia Sandu, who took office in December 2020. She is the first woman to hold the presidency in Moldova and has focused on reforms, anti-corruption measures, and strengthening ties with the European Union.
