Mohamed ElBaradei
Mohamed ElBaradei is an Egyptian diplomat and former director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). He served in this role from 1997 to 2009, where he played a significant part in promoting nuclear non-proliferation and ensuring the peaceful use of nuclear energy. ElBaradei was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2005 for his efforts in preventing nuclear weapons proliferation.
In addition to his work with the IAEA, ElBaradei was involved in Egyptian politics during the 2011 revolution, advocating for democratic reforms. He later served as the vice president of Egypt for a brief period in 2013. His contributions to international diplomacy and nuclear safety have made him a prominent figure in global affairs.
